About
Drawing inspiration from New Zealand's atmospheric scenery, Perniskie Photography delves into the evocative realms of memory and longing. Mieneke documents the stillness of aging structures and the passage of time, creating fine art prints that speak to the contemplative spirit and honor the elegance discovered within silence.

Bio
Mieneke Perniskie is a Wellington-based fine art photographer whose work explores the quiet intersections of memory, time, and liminal spaces. With a focus on melancholic landscapes and architectural stillness, she seeks to capture the weight of silence in every frame.
Mieneke is currently completing a NZ Diploma in Photography through the Southern Institute of Technology, which she started in 2025. Mieneke is also a musician and visual artist but is currently focused primarily on developing her photography skills as her main creative practice.
Initially completing a Bachelor of Arts majoring Film and Media Studies, and a minor in Art History through Otago University, she went on to complete a Masters Degree in Applied Finance at Victoria University (in addition to a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking through Massey University...she clearly enjoys learning!). While working in Finance, she retains a strong interest in creative practice and views the Arts as an antidote to the pressures of the modern world.
